“NPT NEWSREELS” WILL BE WEBCAST
FROM 2007 NPT PREPCOM MEETING

Text Box:VIENNA, Austria -- The International Law Campaign and BanningTheBomb.tv will be producing NPT Newsreels – webcast video reports using MacBook Pro Laptops, with iSight webcams -- to focus the world's attention on the nuclear disarmament negotiations taking place during the Non-Proliferation Treaty meeting, from April 30 - May 11, 2007, in Vienna, Austria.

Text Box:“I hope that this project becomes a model for NGOs at international meetings to get their message out,” said Stephanie Fraser, producer of BanningTheBomb.tv. “Computer technology and software has evolved such that anyone with a computer, a webcam and broadband internet access can easily produce video reports like the NPT Newsreels and be heard by millions of people."

BanningTheBomb.tv is working with the International Law Campaign, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, and other organizations to promote the 2007 NPT Preparatory Committee meeting for the 2010 Review Conference.

BanningTheBomb.tv is an independent new media project working to highlight efforts in the nuclear and disarmament arena by webcasting reports, interviews and presentations from international disarmament meetings.
